05 GT RWHP?
Just curious my friend has an 05 GT hard top and i know they are 300 HP but how much to the rear wheel. Also what all would I need to outrun him? CAI, Cat Back Exhaust, TB & Plenum, 4:10's. That do the trick? I am still working on the 4:10's and somewhere in the future I will have headers and mid pipe.

Our cars usually put out around 250-260 to the wheels stock. You could probably do the trick with what you have mentioned so far + a nice custom tune, say with an SCT tuner from bamachips or brenspeed. Your car is 260 hp stock, it weighs a little less than our rides. Although I'm not sure what your convertible weighs. 3300-ish?
And make sure you get full length headers, shorties do nothing but make noise and add a little torque.

Shorty's will give more TQ than most LT's bro, because LT's are better for more power up top, whereas Shorty's give more downlow. Therefore Shorty's usually give less HP, but will give more TQ. |

4:10s will do the trick!
And just put some skid plates on your LTs |

People that say they have "bad" clearance issues whine way to much...
I have BBK Longtubes and am lowered with steeda comp springs...Just gotta watch myself just like I did when I was stock... Take things at angles and such... |

4.10s and a good driver can put a stock gt into some high thirteens... and i think that the new edge gts are barely running that

im thinkin that his friends gt is stock though... so he should be in good shape with 4.10s if he can drive but a few more mods would make it better. ha

Just 4.10s won't put you ahead, I can say this from experience :wink . With a really good driver stock the new GTs can hit 13.3-13.4 so sepending on the guys driving ability you should be able to take him with 4.10s and a tune.

I raced a 06 GT with a shaker from a dig..
all he had was 3:73's I had 4:10's , intake, x pipe, cat back, springs, subframe connectors, and control arms, and DR and I had him pretty easily.

A little less HP but much more consistent. Did you race from a roll or a dig?
