I installed the BBK valve covers on Amphibrecon's car when we did the cams and heads. The car was already apart and I believe the intake was removed at the time too.
It was still a pain in the ass. For the lower pass side bolts we unbolted the pass side motor mount and lifted the engine a lil bit. They went right in that way. For the driver side we had to unhook the clutch cable from the fire wall to get enough play in it to let the valve cove slide by. Then once it was in we tightened all the bolts we could and then thanks to my freakishly skinny and long arms I was able to squeeze my arm under the master cylinder from the front of it and using an alan wrench I could tighten the rest. It wasn't the hardest part of the cam and head install... That was the headers, but it was the hardest set of valve covers to install that I've ever worked on.

Okay, here are the pics of the valve covers. These are the titanium powder coated versions. I'm not into chrome. Notice the steel inserts slotted inside the gasket bolt holes in the first pic. This is similar to the OEM setup to keep from over tightening the gasket. Additionally, you have to put a dab of form-a-gasket at the seam where the timing gear cover butts up to the front of each cylinder head (2 places on each side), otherwise it will most likely leak. Aside from the instructions stating to remove the clutch cable, coils, injectors & rail on the drivers side, the BBK valve cover would still not go on. I had to remove the power steering resevoir & bracket, the dip stick tube and I loosened the hydrobooster from under the dash (1 bolt is on the engine bay side) to give it enough play to slide the valve cover on. It;s quite a job and the instructions are junk. They look good though.
