procharger or hellion

What do you guys think my goal is 700whp. Should I go with a ati procharger F-1R. Or a hellion turbo kit.

i would say it is pretty simple. go turbo it will make that power easy as long as you have a shitload of other supporting mods.

Make sure that you invest in some forged internals first... not just basic shit, i'm talkin forged crank, rods, and pistons. The block will handle over 1000hp no problem but not the internals. The crank is good until about 650 (for a little while lol).

Most def the Turbos... but if ur lookin for 700 hp, you could do it with a helion kit, but i would suggest the HP twin turbo kit.

Ya I plan on building a motor. And the beauty of a hellion is I can drive to one of the manufacture. There is one like 6 miles from my place.

Will I plan on running low boost for now. I will see like 420whp or so. What will go first with stock internals? And will a 04 cobra crank and rods work in my 2v?

the rods will go 1st for sure. I wouldnt risk it if you think you'll trash them... you could throw a rod (a rod ramming itself into the actual block)

You can make that much power with either of those setups, but I would def go Hellion before Procharger. And, of course, like others have said... make sure your car can handle that power before you throw it down.

Also like mustangmanic said...

Ya will with the hellion comes with a fuel pump and mass air meter, 39lb injectors. Do you think I will need fuel lines? And how much hp will the cobra crank and rods handle?

Not sure about fuel lines, but Cobra internals (by Cobra I assume you mean Termi)... 800+ rwhp

Ummm... well since ur not upgrading your pistons... id say maybe 500... but really man, you need to upgrade those pistons along with the rods and crank... with everything i'd say upwards or 650 with pistons, cobra crank and rods... you can always get stonger than cobra rods tho...

ya I’m thinking of getting a mmr short block. But a friend of my has a 04 cobra he what’s to put a 302 mmr long block in so I might get he’s internals. If I do i'm going to get probe pistons.

Do you think that a 62mm turbo will support 700hp

im not sure if it will. but i know the 39lb injectors and just that pump they give you wont support it. its a good start and you can make some good power with it but if you want 700 you will need to upgrade your lines and probably get a cobra tank and gt pumps. the cobra rod and cranks with good pistons should be good well over 700.
