Fuel Pressure Question

Is the fuel pressure on our Mustangs regulated by the computer?

I had a fuel pressure gage installed when they installed the supercharger and new fuel pump. In my mind the gage behaves oddly. I would have thought that pressure would read the highest when there was no demand for fuel and that pressure would drop off a little at WOT. That doesn't happen. At idle it reads a little over 30 psi. As you open the throttle, fuel pressure increases. At WOT its over 40 psi. Back off to cruising speed (70 mph) and the fuel pressure drops back to 35 psi. Is this normal?

Yea I hate how the electric guages read. Not too accurate in my mind, but I guess as long as there is some psi all the the time.

Just as long as it goes up when your wot. The harder you work the injector the more Fp is needed. I see over 50 sometimes.
