98 Mark III Motor

I have a 1999 Mustang Gt auto with 120k miles on it. I've been wanting to do a 4v swap for the longest time but just havent had the time nor the money, now that i have time and have saved up some money I think its time to do it.
I have the chance to purchase a motor with complete wiring harness and everything plus trans out of a 98 lincoln mark iii. The engine and trans have 120k miles on them. Its only 850 bucks, is this a good deal? Also, i wanted to build the motor up a lil bit. Nothing ridiculous but just something to give the local LSX cars, cobras, and imports a run for their money. Just something to have fun with, also this will be my daily driver. Im not very educated about this motor but i have found a set of 03 cobra heads for 600 bucks, and didnt know if those were necessary or not. And i have found some cams out of an 03 mach 1, not sure on the price but i will go back and look. And i'm not sure what intake to use on this. I figured something off similar year cobras. How much potential does the stock mark iii motor have? Would I be able to just do regular bolt ons to it, or is the stock components pretty restrictive? I guess I just wanna know how good these motors are for this swap, and what exactly i would have to do (staying N/A) to have a quick car. Also what tranny should I go with? How hard is this swap in general? What problems do people usually run into? My friend who is a mechanic will be doing everything since this would be way outta my league, i will be getting my hands dirty though becuz i love cars and wanna learn.

Thanx for all your help,
Derrick

Not a bad price but you might be able to get it a lil cheaper... check www.car-part.com I seen one as low as $416 located in Auburndale FL... anyways im not too familiar with the Mark viii engine but I think the HP for a stock one is around 280HP 285TQ at the crank for the basic version and 290HP 290TQ for the LSC version so I guess if you can find a cobra intake and heads from a 99 and up you'll be on par with stock cobras.
