what are your mods? you won't really need one until you get full bolt ons, heads and cams. you can do it before that but you won't see the gains you would see with the other stuff as well.

you dont even need a manifold unless running really big cams and heads that have been opened up. the factory piece is a very well designed intake. unless your building a high winding strip car, just leave your plastic intake on your car. or if your spraying more than a 150 shot. but people need to realise that theres a reason the aftermarket on these intakes hasnt been real good.......... its becasue the factory piece is plenty good enough and only becomes a restriction once boosted past 600 rwhp. and your gonna lose more down low than youll gain up top. i dont know about you guys but i like driving down low sometimes in the rpm band.

AGAIN, THERE IS NO GOOD REASON FOR YOU TO SPEND THAT MUCH MONEY ON AN INTAKE THAT WONT REALLY BENEFIT YOU, UNLESS YOUR BUYING IT FOR LOOKS.

true story. my buddy put a THR intake on his car and lost 2/10ths and about 10 hp. hes got heads and cams also. i think like dragn said the stock one is designed very well and changing it out is a waste of money unless you are building a high reving race car

But i'm about to order a package from RPMoutlet.com It comes with a 70mm PP polished t/b and plenum, and motoblue pullies for 400 w/ shipping. i thought it was a good deal, how bout you'all? That should get me a few more back to the wheels on my 00 gt.

Buy from RPMoutlet at your own risk. A lot of people, including myself, have had problems.

Amp ordered some of his parts from RPM and had nothing but problems, They don't ship when they say they do, and they ship the wrong parts.

If you're looking for a stock intake manifold that will gain you some HP and a good amount of torque, here you go. That's a pretty sweet price since they are usually over $1000.
