SVO intake on a '99 with supporting mods
I am in the process of installing an SVO intake to my '99 GT. From what I have gathered the SVO flows a good amount of air than the Bullitt intake and Ford Racing recommended/supplied 24lb. injectors for it's use. I will also use the 24lb's. The cams that are also part of this change is an old Sean Hyland #2730 with .500" lift and 230* duration both in and out. More for an NPI with the lower lift but called a "mild race cam". I will also be using a Pro-M MAF that is calibrated for the inj's.
Anyone tried this intake? How about the cams? Will the Bullitt fuel rails work with this intake? Comments appreciated! THX!

It was released by Ford Racing around '98 for the early 4.6 Mustangs and supposedly flows a lot compared to the later scaled back bullitt though they do look alike the SVO is larfer all around. Try www.seanhylandmotorsports.com under intakes but it is discontinued to my knowlkedge.

I read a piece where the SVO made 23whp and still made power to 6100rpm where the stock PI intake on several different heads fell off at 5200rpm so I am hoping for about 40whp and a wider power band, possibly low 13's or high 12's with the right hook. THX, anyone try this?
