Daytime running lights???
A buddy of mine bought a smashed 02 gt convertable, and has just gotten it fixed and ready for paint. He still has to go and get it inspected and because its an american vehicle and we live in canada it has to have a special inspection I guess and follow certain rules. One thing it doesn't have is day time running lights because US doesn't need them. Is there anyway we can fix it so that the day time running lights come on like mine do?

What you could do is just turn on your parking lights. When you pull out the switch for the headlights, there are 2 clicks, stop at the first click. If that's not enough light then you can turn on your fog lights (little button below the radio). That way when you turn on your parking lights your fog lights also come on.

anyway, im sure drl's arent mandatory. i see vehicles around here that dont have any. whether its after a certain year or just in a strict province like frogville or something, but here in alberta, it shouldnt be MANDATORY.

well see thats the thing, my 04 mustang gt was also smashed and an american car, but I bought it off the guy with the inspection already done, and I checked last night and my car doesnt have drl's so I can't see it being a big deal.

yeah, i dont think its that big of a deal. i mean its preferred but some new cars dont have drl's and the old ones definitely dont, although if old cars dont have seatbelts, its legal not to wear one.
