knocking


my car is starting to knock when i first start it is this just a high mile problem or is it on its way out?

it allmost acts like the oil pump is not pumping up rite away when started

Mine doest that all the time. It could be serious or it could be the just the oil escaping the pump. Do you park on a hill or slanted driveway?

yup ,,but it dose it on a flat ground too ,,but only when its been sitting for about 4 or more hours

wowowowow.....did you say it was a high miles car or not? Many people dont know that the highest part in the engine is the valve train and being the highest part gets the last of the lubrication and the hottest lubrication. That makes it the first part to go in high millage and track cars if it is the stock valve train of course. are you sure it is not just ticking?

it has 68k on it and it is def not top end knock lol

You sure its coming from the engine and not an accesorry? When the engine is cold, pull the belt and run it for a little bit...is the noise still there?

If it is a knock, please take care of it now...everyday that you drive it, your asking for more problems.
