you can use a speedcal or a tuner.

or a speedo gear if your car is an auto.

Buy the tuner. It's a waste of $100 to just buy the speedcal that only does one thing IMHO.

hey man if you go with a tuner look at gettin an X-Cal instead of a hypertech or somethin like that.... better bang for the buck.... X-Cal can tune and adjust a lot of the paramaters on your computer as well as give you a good "hot" stock tune that comes on the programmer... just does a lot more for you in case of future mods. i myself bought a hypertech and sold it after a few months and bought an X-Cal... now my car is nitroused and i use the X-cal for dyno tunning on my car. its worth the few extra pennys IMHO.

The DiabloSport does everything the Xcal does.

hmmm alright so ill look into the x-cal and the diablo.
right now for mods i have. magnaflow cat backs. king cobra clutch kit. 4.10 gears and thats it. but my future mods are x-pipe and intake too so ny suggestions as to which one i should go with?
the prob is i just blew all my money on the 4.10s so itll b a few months before i can buy a tuner. will this hurt my car at all?
btw my car is a 5 speed not an automatic.
one more question. are the tuners hard to use? when i used to have my talon i had a apex safc and some other fuel management software and it was confusing as hell and all i did was break things so since i actually have nice car now i dont want that to happen ya know? im lookin for a good solid tune that will fix my speedo prob and give me some more power.

Not having Your car set to the correct speed is going to put "Extra" Miles on Your car Since Your speedo will read 85 when Your doing 70.
So Your odomotor will be off. But it shouldn't hurt Your engine.

Tuners are easy To use You will however depending on where You purchase it from need a tune.

I bought a used tuner for 275 From A member here and bought a a tune and 2yrs support for $40 From Tricktuners.com

Which one to get is a dependent upon how far you plan to mod your car and if you plan to get a dyno tune down the road. If you plan to eventually get a dyno tune you will want to look at your local dyno shop and see what type of tuner software they use. If they run SCT or Diablosport you should choose accordingly. You will not need a dyno tune unless you get head/cam work, go FI or use nitrous.
