in some cases seatbelts were the cause of death. so..how is that justifiable.

that's the most retarded argument one can use. if the accident was bad enough that the seatbelt was the cause of death, what the hell do you think the person would look like if he/she wasn't wearing the seatbelt????

comeon guys why does everything have to be a debate on here. i am a 32 year old man and know how a seat belt works and the pros and cons of using one. everythread turns into peoples opinions instead of giving valid information on the topic that was asked. I asked how to disable it not how do you guys feel on the debate of wearing a seat belt and not wearing a seatbelt.

The thing is there for a reason. Just wear the damn thing. It isnt uncomfortable and it will save your life.

-Turn car keys to power up but not start the car.
-Wait till the seatbelt light goes out (about 8-10 seconds)
-Put the seat belt buckle on and off 3 times
-Turn your park lights on once
-Put your buckle on and off 7-10 times till the seatbelt light flashes rapidly
-Once the seatbelt light stops flashing
-Put the seatbelt on
-Start up your vehicle

I wear mine but I would also like to know how to get rid of the chime. and as far as the seatbelt causes death i don't know but my grandparents were in an accident, went down a ravine, bounced into the Back seat and the roof of the car ended up down in the front seat,so if they were wearin them they'd be dead. just one example i guess.

Hey, don't let these geeks get to you...you're dealing with a bunch of message board nerds MOST of whom who frequent this one dont even OWN one of these cars or any car for that matter, you're not gonna win an argument with people like this because they feel safe at their computer...Same reason people scream out their windows at complete strangers, they feel safe in the car. MOVING ON...I think I know what you're talking about, when I get to work I sit there with the car off for about 10 min. before I got in and obviously I dont wanna sit on the seatbelt, but leaving the ignition on for the radio and the clock means that the warning is gonna go off. If you want a trick, sit there for at least 1 minute, then unhook it...It wont go off then until the ignition is turned off then back on again...If you really wanna get rid of it all together, look up computer reflash equipment for Ford engines, I dont think handheld tuners can do it but there is a way to buy cheap reflash equipment to do it yourself cause obviously no Ford dealership or service station would be allowed to do this.

or hook it up and unhook it right after, you dont need to wait you moron, and most of us own mustangs, so i'm not sure what you're talking about. seems like youre the one who feels safe on your computer to say what you want, not us.
