Want new MufflersI have a quick question and would like some opinions. I have a Mac o/r-H with flows and while they sound nice I would like to have something more deep-throaty- and rumbly with the H. I would switch to an X but they are to raspy for my taste and im not sure what other mufflers might fit the definition im looking for. Any ideas on what a good set up would be? |

Hmm so far im thinking borla stingers would sound pretty good with the h-pipe after listening to some clips, the LM2's arent too bad either. To save money im just gonna leave the mac h-pipe in it.

Stingers do sound great with an H, and the Mac H will be perfect. One of my boys has that same set-up and it sounds just like mine, except his is a bit quieter for some reason But it still sounds good.

I was talking to 2kGT. I have Borlas, and I have No popping at all and no rasp, so I don't know what your trying to say?! I think your referring to uncatted mid-pipes, which will cause any catback to sound poppy & raspy, including Bassani.

mine dont pop at all.
but it does sound a little raspy up top but i think it sounds great. it turns ALOT of heads and ive had so many ppl ask me what my setup was its o/r x almost every borla ive heard ends up poping when the rpms come back down. other than that they sound amazing.

Thanks for the clips guys. Most of those I found yesterday and I found I like the borlas more and more. The setup the guy with the 04 convertible has on the first clip is the setup I think I want to get.
The flows are great and I actually enjoy the popping sound they make and the roar when you get on it but everyone has flows out here and I think I want a slight louder setup and the borlas I think would do just that. |

Maybe they had O/R, because like I said, I have no popping or poppy sounds at all.

Slight??! These things are ALOT louder than any Flowmaster set-up I have ever heard, including many O/R Flowmaster set-ups, and if you have an O/R mid, then these things will be even louder yet. You definatly gotta hear them in person, because the Stingers are one of the loudest catbacks you can get, besides the Loudmouth 1's, but the LM1's don't have any tone, and have alot of rasp. |
