steel control arms vs aluminum control arms

Are the aluminum ones actually worth the extra cash? Steeda sales steel upper/lower control arms together for 300$ while they sale the aluminum uppers for 270$ and aluminum lowers for 270$. Thats a big price dif. but is there actually that much of a performance difference?
