Magnapacks vs. MAC which ones??

I have an 01 gt stock auto trans.....I think I have pretty much narrowed down which exhaust I want to go with, either MAC or Magnapacks with an offroad midpipe....what are the pros and cons of both...which ones should i go with??

Go with whatever one produces the sound you want. The pros for the Magnapacks, are that they are SS and have a lifetime warranty. Pros for the Macs, are that they are decent quality, and won't break the bank.

both sound GREAT on the 2v GT. I would suggest the MAC Flowpaths over the packs. They are a tad bit louder and still have a great tone. The best catbacks on the 2v gt are bassani ss and the mac flowpaths.... both sound incredibly awsome IMO.

Packs sound great too, with an O/R X packs are killer. Its really up to you. I already know what Neckbonekat's arguement is gonna be.... Packs Packs Packs haha.

My mac catback is about 6 years old and still works and sounds great. But it is getting rusty

If your going w/ the Magnapacks, get a catted pipe. If you don't your ears will bleed, it'll attract the cops and most of all, the sound quality is lost w/ resonator-style mufflers and a catless pipe. If you want O/R go / MAC. They're a great sounding exhaust, had a O/R H & MAC's on my 96 when I had it and loved it!

Funny shit. Actually the more I hear them. The more I like the Borla Stingers. I wish I had heard them two years ago when I bought my catback for this car. I still love my packs. Don't get me wrong, but I have taken a liking to the Stinger. I'm not a big fan of Mac catbacks on a GT unless you are going with a H pipe or a prochamber. They do not sound good at all with a X pipe IMO.

I sold my magna packs .. i think they sounded like very odd.. almost ricey at times .. had them with a catted x with stock manifolds to start with .. then tried to them with LTs O/R X and H and neither sounded good IMO .. I think MAC sounds great wtih LT's and O/R H ... I also like my boys pro charged mach 1 with a Dr. Gas X and Borla Stingers ... and my boys cobra with reg. magna flows is almost quiet at idle .. but once it hits that 19lbs of boost .. the magna flows sound sick ...

I'll be getting a video up soon of my exhaust and his exhaust

Magnapacks are ricey. That's a new one.

If I had the money I'd honestly consider it. LOL Too many things I consider more important at the moment. It's not like I dislike my sound so I'm in no rush to change it. Besides when I get my headers and put the cats back on it should sound completely different.

I forgot to ask, what mid-pipe are you going with, X or H??? If X, then I would go with the Magnapacks. If H, then go with the Mac's. Or you could even get a Mac Prochamber mid, which should sound good with either. Of course the Packs shouldn't sound bad with an H, but I wouldn't match Macs with an X though, but thats just my opinion.
