should i go with a shift kit in a stock auto tranny?

What is the best thing to do to a stock auto tranny in an 01 gt to get it to shift harder and faster without sacrificing the life of the tranny?

Get a Tuner, and you can set the shift points.

Whatever one sounds like it would fit your needs and wants. The MGW & Steeda Tri-Ax are the most popular, with Pro 5.0 being a runner up. I got the MGW because it's handle is fully adjustable, and the warranty was great.

Ok nevermind. You'll have to have a person with an Auto help you with finding a shift kit. I forgot that your car was auto.

OK...I had a 2001 mustang GT auto for about 2 months and immediately did a JMOD on the car. It was great but still not the same as having a manual. So i traded in for a 2004 Mustang GT 40th manual.

Follow this link.... http://www.dndgarage.net/jmod.htm

That's the mod I did on my 2001 gt and it was a welcome change from the slow sloppy shifting auto.
