Transmission Problem

I have a 99 mustang gt, I had a shop install a procharger p-1sc and other engine mods. The transmission (auto) was changed to a "heavy duty tranny" to handle more horsepower than the stock one. The car was running good for about 6 months until yesterday on the freeway. My friend was driving and some ricer got next to us and started to rev his engine at us, my friend floored it and left him back by like 10 cars. We got up to 135mph and the we had to slow down because we saw a cop. We smelled something funny and noticed that there was smoke coming from the car. We got out of the freeway and stopped at a gas station. The engine temp was perfect, we opened the hood and it looked perfect, no smoke. Then we checked the bottom of the car and noticed a wet spot on the ground. We moved the car so that we could check what was leaking, it was tranny fluid. It wasn't leaking a lot but it was dripping onto the hot exhaust pipes and it was burning causing the smoke. I have no idea what it is. I think we ran it too hard. We got home safe because the car still runs, but its leaking fluid. Anybody know what it can be?? Some sort of gasket or something??

A friend and I was drive down the freeway in a old s-10 and blew all of the transmission fluid out. He stopped quickly and he only had to get it resealed.
