unfortunately i know this to be a bad idea. even when i prepped the hell out of it the paint would not stay on. it's too flimsy. just use Magiuires Hot Shine on it and it'll look great.

You can paint it, but only use Krylon Fusion paint. It literally bonds with the plastic. It will not flake or rub off. I do not know how well it will color match because you are painting over a black base coat.

Why would you want to paint it anyway? It looks badass the way it is.

I agree, but if you had your mind set on doing it, that would be the only paint to use. It doesn't just cover the surface, but bonds with the plastic. I've only see one painted Mach 1 chin spoiler and it looked like sh*t because he had a garage do it with the same paint as his car so it would match. Not even two weeks later it was cracking and flaking.

I see your car is silver as well. I had this same topic not too long ago when I mentioned painting the chin spoiler.

It's got some pics that changed my mind in a hurry http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums...t=chin+spoiler

everyone has a diffrence on what they want there car to look like. I haven't put it on but yes i was and still am going to keep it black but i was just asking a question to get a picture of it painted. any harm in that?

why do some people do stuff to their car that nobody likes? because it is their particular taste. don't ask why someone would want to do something, your concern on your opinion doesn't really matter to them. all that matters is the facts of what they are asking about.

How often do you actually drive your car?
