hello everyone. i made a post about a month ago about myself and my stangs problems. well after having ford replace 2 coils 2 cam postion sensors and the alternator my stang is up and running again. seems fine. im amazed! ford did a good job.
i just ordered my jlt true cold air intake and cant wait to put it on with my bassani catback. what kind of gains can i expect? |

Welcome back dude! JLT is one of the best CAI's, there worth probably 5-10 rwhp realistically and the catback is probably worth 5 rwhp.

I got a JLT and I am very happy with it. It was fairly easy to install except you have to drill a pretty big hole w/dremel to place a sensor. I don't know if your year has that sensor though

Why is it, I feel like I am the only one thats sees a problem with the JLT? Yes, it does great on a dyno because it takes forever to warm-up but at the track it sucks because it takes forever to cool down. I bet if everyone one of you datalog your car at the track you'll see the IAT isn't cooling down until the 1/8. And when I mean it is reading hot, I mean it isn't rare to see it read 150 degrees. Than if you ice the intake down you will knock .5 off of you ET.

i'd bet 10rwhp with the both when you bolt them on. maybe 2-3 more than that but your car will sound much better and you prolly won't feel the gains but they'll be there.

wow i was got awhile lol. well i got the jlt in and i can feel a little difference and i notice a sound difference.
and JLT now drills the hole themselves. i didnt have to. it came with a hole on the bottom for the iat as far as the heat goes it doesnt heat up at all. after driving it and touching it right after i can hold it. its not too hot too handle. its no where near 150 degrees. im going to a dyno tomorrow so ill see what happens |
