Engine Cleaner

I bought some of that Gunk Engine Cleaner Gel and cleaned my engine today. Well the engine looks good, I followed all the directions, took of the filter on the CAI and put a plastic bag around the mass air and the open part of the CAI. Well after it dried I took it for a spin. Now when I step on the petal like wide open, it spudders. It wont do it if I just accelerate normally only when I get on it. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

Bad, Bad, Bad man. lol. j/k. Well.... like i always tell the customers. If you dont want to pay 100 for a coil pack and 100 for me to put it in.... let someone else clean youre engine bay. Because they will pay for the damage.

The coil packs in the 4.6/5.4 ( PI applications ) are very sensative to water. So i would recommend you not wash youre motor anymore. Just use a rag and some cleaner from now on... thats what i do. Youre check engine light will pop on soon. If not just go to a dealership so they can tell you which coil is misfiring.

Yep I bought a 2000 Ford f350 for my business and it ran like shit because the dealer had cleaned the engine compartment before I got it. Same problem.

Well it may turn out better, cause I was reading the new 5.0 magazine this weekend and was looking at those new Granatelli Coil packs. Oh well this way I will pick up a few horses.

I'll probably clear up after you drive it for little bit, after the moisture dries out.

its very worth it if youve got a high horsepower blown or sprayed motor.

Yeah it cleared up over night so everything is good. Thanks everyone. I learned not to use that stuff to clean my engine. Next time it will be a wet rag or something.
