New top or seals?
My top is leaking, like I have written before. Now I know it's not water from the road getting under my floor pan, but it is the top is leaking. I left my car parked last night while it was raining and I have a puddle in my rear passenger floorboard. Should I replace all seals or buy a new top? How could I determine which to replace? Thanks in advance! This is bothering the sh** out of me!

you need to pin-point where it's coming from directly in order to determine what's really needed.....

Find out where it is and there WILL be a fix. Chances are you will not have to replace the whole top. |

I got in my car today and had someone spray a waterhouse on my CONVERTIBLE top. Looks like it's in the top corner of the rear window on the passenger side. It puddles up in the leather pouch thing that is directly beneath it. I guess it's running from there along my body and under my carpet in the backseat. I kind of think I rigged it to where the water will stay in the pouch instead of running under my carpet.... Any suggestions?

Wow. That sucks. I'm not certain but on my 04, the convertible material hangs over the top of the back window. There is a "crease" that runs the length of the top where the material is glued together. If the crease has a tear in it along the top, it could be running down toward the back and down the inside of the window.
Before you go through the expense of replacing the whole thing, try really hard to find the source of that leak. If its in the crease, it may be hard to see. At least try to fix it. Use a flexible adhesive and give it a few days to dry before trying to put it down. This wont hurt a thing if you end up having to replace it anyway. Unless there is some big gaping hole, you got a shot at fixing it. Another way to look for a hole or leak is with a flashlight in the dark. I know it sounds stupid but sometimes they reveal themselves that way. If the leak is around the glass window in the back, thats a good thing. Take your time and put some sealant around the edges. I know this may sound nuts too but Liquid Nails has a water proof, flexible crystal clear sealant that works incredible on our tops. The key is that it stays flexible and water proof but had good adhesion properties. Good luck and keep us updated. Maybe someone else can learn from what you find. When this is done, too bad it cant be moved to the convertible section.

He didnt state which he had, and quarter glasses can leak, and when they do, water gets under the rear seat. So since you seem to fuckin know it all, how come you didnt think of that. I dont try to answer questions unless I know most of the variables. Maybe you should do the same.
