Motor Limit
What's the limit of my stock motor on HP. Meaning what is the safest amount of horsepower you would throw on the motor without having to really worry about breaking the threshold. IE this is a daily driver.

yeah, you are limited by the internals for the most part. put some forged internals in that thing and it will take whatever you have to throw at it

How much would it cost to upgrade the internals and what would I need to upgrade? I'm thinking it's out of my price range but try to surprise me.

2000 for a whole kit or add about 700 and get the whole forged short block that can handle 900 hp
heres a link http://www.modularmustangracing.com/...hortblocks.htm |

The real question is where are you from? Tuning is the key factor. the bottom end could be bullet proof but if all you have are idiots tuning around you it won't run very long.

I've heard that our internals are good for 400-450hp and our blocks are good for 600-700hp.

I was always told 400-450 neighborhood. What makes it closer to 900? I'm not wanting to push the threshold, I want to know a safe amount of horsepower.

Boost gets you laid

1000+ hp is what a cast iron block will handle.
you have an aluminum block. those are good for 650.

I've seen a ton of videos of 99-03 stangs blowing out ther bottom end. They all had over 400hp, and when they got there car running hard in high rpms. Boom, a lot of em threw connecting rods.
