question about emergency brake light

when I'm driving the emergency brake light comes on as if its on.. it does not seem to effect the performance I'm just curious as to why it comes on like that..

Check you brake fluid.

My switched worked it way lose and had the light come on like you discribed until I did this.

The switch is a small plastic peice located on the passenger side of the e-brake which is held in place by one screw. Remove the middle arm rest to expose the brake and you will see it clearly. If it's lose, remove it and apply loctite and place it back in place. Also check the wire for damage.
