new springs def for a stage 2 kit. i would get the cam gear kit too. make sure you have the right tools to adjust your timing (i've never done a swap, so i couldn't tell you exactly what, but somebody will chime in im sure).

get the matching retainers,I am putting in a set of vt stage 3 blowers as we speak and I am using the crower high load with tit. retainers. the retainers are machined so the spring sits higher on valve(installed height) allowing for use of higher lift cams.if your doing the springs with heads still on the car then you will need the spring compressor tool also

Its "recommended" that you degree the cams. I have the Stage 2's and I didnt . I dont have any problems.

Stage 2's take serious tuning to get em right. They make their power up high, you will only really benefit from them if you get like 4.10s to get the rpm's up quicker.

But they sound like war in my car.
