Remote Starter

Okay it's getting fucking cold here in North Carolina at 5am in the morning. I NEED TO GET A REMOTE STARTER!! So does anybody know of any good places that sell the Viper 791VX for a good price? And does anyone know how much more difficult it is to install it on a manual?

check around for local shops that do install because at most places like best buy its gonna be over 500 for the kit and install and they may not want to do it on a manual.. i found a place online that sells the entire kit for like 180.. but u have to get someone to install.. i cant find the link or id hook u up.. use google

My friend had one installed in his truck and it would start by itself sometimes. I know of at least two times that it did it during the middle of the night.

It is illegal to have a remote start on a manual transmission car in NC. Not that it is that big of a concern as everything else on my car is already illegal, however if you do have a manual transmission be careful! After giving it some thought, I realized that I always park my car with it in first gear, which is bad news for hitting the remote start button.

-I think there is an ebay store which sells high quality remote starts for a low price.

+1
Remote starters on manuals are illegal here too. Al guy put one in his truck and left it in gear when he parked it. When he pushed the button in the morning it drove through the back of his garage. Most shops will not install them in a manual.
