Gains N/a will be marginal if any, forced induction will see up to 25+ rwhp and 30+ rwtq. There are pleny of good companies, you have to choose what you like.

2 valve head are not efficient, there is not enough in a 2 valve head to add cubes without adding a ton of bore. The biggest issue is the intake valve is being shrouded.

You can get to 300 ci two ways, larger bore or longer stroke. A longer stroke is supposed to give more low end torque, but not much on the top end. Think truck engine. I have talked to a tuner who told me that some people are disapointed with their stroker motors, but it hard to talk them out of it when the stroker forged kit only costs a couple of hundred more then the standard forged kit.

All displacement is not equal.

Dude, build it and boost it. You can see plenty of power outta the 2v's with boost, especially if you've got some forged internals.

I have an eagle stroker kit with all forged and balanced internals. The engine builders I talked to all used the eagle kit. I set mine up with low compression for boost. My internals are rated to 1500 hp I believe. The bore was increased by .030. I am at 278 rwhp and 300 tq. I need a good tune. I also upgraded my heads to patriot stage 3. My intake is a typhoon which has also been ported and polished. I really need a turbo or supercharger. My gears are 3.55's. I can tell you that I have no traction in first (no drag radials yet); and the car does not suffer from lack of top end. I have put the needle past 150 on the speedo and was just above 5000 rpms when I glanced down. I did this on an empty highway a couple days ago. I can feel a substantial difference down low. The car also has a deeper rumble to it. The stroker kit was about $3500 not including machine work and balancing, or installation. Hope this helps if you have any other questions feel free to ask.

hey don't worry that 2.3 is mos def a built 16v with a turbo on it... volkswagens are crazy... and you know what gets even more sick... if its and older one that thing is light as hell... and can be pushin a power to weight of a corvette or Ferrari depending on model ...

if you bore stroke and tune it properly and add other things such as cams forged pieces and also tune it you will see a noticeable gain
