want 400 horse?

aight i just picked up a 02 gt, its already got a full exaust with h-pipe, k&n cold air intake and some sort of chip, i wanna get 400 hp and i only got about 2300 bucks to spend, i am really wanting a super charger but dont know about them, wat kind should i get and wat supercharger can i get for about 2000? also wat would a good tranny be to get that would hold up to that kind of power? and also is there any other parts i can get for it to get that kind of power without going into the motor?

Nos...might not hit 400hp but you can get a real nice setup for way way less..and your stock tranny will hold up fine.

Patience is a virtue. Bolt ons will not get you 400 rwhp. It won't even get you 400 net hp (flywheel). Unless you are a mechanic and you can pick up a supercharger at discount prices, you are not going to get there.

Your objective is where I was last year. Save your money for a supercharger. Resist the temptation to do small mods. They will not get you there.

Brand new vortech kits are like 4500...ive seen them used on ebay for less than 3g. If your tranny is messed up than i would fix that now, esp if its a DD, sooner or later your tranny will just give up and they seem to like to do that in the middle of the highway!

if you tune your car and throw a 100 wet shot on there, it wont hurt you. Just dont be using it all the freakin time *coughACMILLERcough* lol jk.

Cuz when using N2O... that means WOT, and WOT ALL THE TIME isnt good for any car...

also keep in mind that a 100 shot doesnt always necessarily mean 100 hp... in most cases, 100 wet shots will give you upwards of 115+hp and over 90lbtq

Even 350 RWHP with just bolt ons is a stretch, but do-able.

what reliability issue? the "reliability" is the same on n2o as it is on boost. it is all in tuning. the trans issue sounds like shift fork and i would concentrate on that instead of power. if you wanted a s/c a used kit ro a tuner kit will be in that price range.

there was other stuff that caused ac's car to break besides the juice. when the n2o is set up and tuned properly there is no issue. you can hammer on it all you want with out issues. i have ran countless numbers of bottles through mine at 125 and so has 04gtampa. a 100 horse shot is a 100 horse shot, with tuning you can get more. zex labels their shot as flywheel ratings but can get that rating at the wheel with tuning. the 4.6 always gets big numbers on the torque with the bottle.

+1 the most i have ever seen on a 4.6 n/a is around 320. if you plan on boost soon the i suggest header back, t/b, plenum (ir you go with a centri), and invest into suspension and drivetrain. if you are on the fence and it will be a while, i suggest on getting the rest of the bolt ons till you make a descision.

I'm not saying you're being dishonest here, but KB was running those numbers with under 400 HP if I'm not mistaken. For the record, you are not going to make 400+ on the stock bottom end- I have been chasing that number with the 2V for a while. However, I believe it is about to happen. Boomer and I have come to an agreement that may finally see the legendary 400+ in a N/A 2V street car.

Let me clarify- I was running a 150 HP dry shot on a 100 HP tune (by mistake). I got some jets mixxed up. My motor had been thousands of miles on the bottle before that mistake.
