code thrown
So my servis engine light came on last wednesday and it just showed the code 5284... it says oil pressure switch failer... but the guage still seems to work fine..?
so is this serious or expensive to fix?

disconnect your battery for 15 mins then see it comes back. You're getting it from the guage cluster not an actual code reader...
