Is it normal?

So I got my 4:10's installed and the speedo is way off which I expected but while I drive my speedometer where it normally shows the miles sometimes glitches and shows "--------" and the speedo drops the MPH to 0 like its not working. Just didn't know if that will fix itself when I get a speed cal or not. Opinions, suggestions, advice? Thanks.

its because the computer is getting confused. you're either gonna have to get it calibrated or get a handheld tuner to take care of it.
