Any SVO intake guys here/SHM #2730 cams?
I recently added an SVO intake port matched for my '99 PI's heads and a set of what are apparently Sean Hyland #2730 cams. The car already had 4.10's and a reworked stock converter, UDP's and a PYPES catted X-pipe/catback. Using an SCT Xcal2 it was a low 14 sec car at 100+mph. After the intake and cam change it is now a mid 14 sec car again like it was when stock.
I know it needs more stall and I have a 10" DD converter with a 3200-3400rpm stall still in the box that can go in next year. Not sure I can do anything about the cams for a year or more. They have .495" lift and 230* duration and surprisingly many like them! Headers are out as I have still not heard anything about guys getting 20+WHP except one guy who claims 27whp though I believe him. Any experienced guys here who have any consrtuctive critisism, suggestions or experience they could share that would HELP my situation? It does not seem the extra power it hould be making(30whp) is even there as it went from 2.1x to 2.3x 60' times and that is .4 but I lost almost exactly that so the cams and intake really did nothing? Any builders frequenting this forum, Dyno owners? THX! PS: Is there a COLD cmpression number or all when hot? Also the car runs great!
