Roush Diff Cover Girdle Issue

I installed a Roush rearend girdle cover a couple of months ago and it continues to leak gear oil. It appears to be leaking thru the holes for the support screws that go thru the cover. I then sized up a couple of copper washers and installed them underneath the jam nuts on each side. Still no luck, it still leaks. Anyone have any experience with these and have a remedy to cure the leaks? Thanks in advance.

sounds like a bad gasket.

you need to pull the cover and make a new gasket.

it's supposed to be around the entire diff plate.
it was probably tightened down wrong.

you need to let the gasket get tacky before you hand tighten it.
then wait another half hour or so before you break out your ratchet set.

unless I am mistaken I believe that he is talking about the bolts that "bolt" the diff cover in place.

the only other holes i could think of are the drain/fill plugs or the rear seal.

It is a Roush unit and it is leaking thru the girdle support studs that go thru the cover. The cover gasket is not what's leaking. Yes, it is torqued properly. It is just bleeding thru the holes slightly. It is similar to the one in the pic except the studs/bolts are not counter sunk.
