Quick Question
okay, so i bought an X-Cal 2 a few months back with a tune on it for my long tubes. i didn't install it because the l/t's weren't on yet. i should be getting my car back in the next couple of weeks and i'll be able to load the tune. here's the question. i don't think it's going to make any difference, but i want to make sure that the tune will be fine to work on the motor after the rebuild. the only difference will be that since it's being bored 0.020" over, i'll see a slight bump in compression ratio, from 9.7:1 to 9.8:1. like i said, i think it'll be fine, seeing as how the change in CR will only add something like 2hp (yes, i did the math). i know a dyno tune is the best way to go, but it'll have to wait a little after the rebuild till everything's broken in...
