Everyone debates over this question. Bottom line, a turbocharger will give you more power and be more streetable to drive. The only downside is the time it takes to "spool up." If you have the right setup however, spool time won't be a problem. You can also search as there have been many, many threads over this.

Which ever you want to do, both will get gains above what your stock block will be able to handle (400 rwhp). Supercharger is easier to handle, instal, and keep power within stock levels. Supercharger is also cheaper.

And if you do get one, watch how much boost you throw at your car if your internals aren't forged. No one wants a car with a supercharger/turbo that can't turn on.

I would personally keep it under 9psi for both SC and TC... that will put you in the 400hp range with some basic bolt ons involved... like stated, over 400-450, you need forged internals (rods and pistons) and over 650 a forged crank.

ive been kicking this around for a little bit. i was gonna go with hpperformance's kit or the novi 2000 but still not sure both will have about the same bottom line in cost. but i planned on running my long block for a while. until i go all forged with p&p heads cams and etc. any body ran a novi 2000 or turbo setup on stock long block?

Although I haven't ran a S/C, I'd say if you left it at a low psi say around 8 you'd be ok with the Novi. If you have a backup car I'd say go for it, but if it is your DD then I wouldn't risk it.

novi 2000 is a great blower! Only blower I would put on my car unless it was a track only car.

I'm a S/C type of a guy.... Procharger FTW.

Read this: MotorSports Digest

It should answer a lot of questions.

it seems like the price diff isnt really that big thats why i think i can go either way the hp kit is $6900 with new tubular front end i could opt out of that and drop it down to about 6000. which i wont do cause im gonna go tubular front end anyway. the novi kits are about 5000 once you upgrade everything. and then the tube front is 700-1000 depending on where you go. i thought about kb but i like the novi better for my own reasons
