a lot of the kits use stock manis, they just turn the exhaust 180* to put the turbo at the front. to me that's a waste because it is causing a lot of unnecessary lag.

id never run a single turbo
it would either be supercharged or a twin turbo, single is a waste since there are 8 exhaust manifold ports and only one turbo, doesnt seem efficient enough

no theyre are plenty of fast cars on a single turbo. they have a bit more lag but more on the top end. i remmber a 69 camaro all steel with a glass hood in a mag had a built motor running an old tractor turbo it pulled the front tires for 180ft and went into the 9's

yes, running like 91mm turbos, the ones you are most likely to buy are in the 50's

My good friends cousins single turbo'd cobra is pushing close to 800 rwhp on 25lbs of boost with a single 76 mm turbo .. its very similar to the turbo kit i'm putting together for my new 4v motor ... and hopefully will run under 10 grand for the motor and turbo parts and install ... I decided not to sell the vert .. instead I sold one of my beaters and found a great deal on a 98 4v motor - I'm just using the heads and timing equip .. so I'll have the block for sale after i tear it down .. anyway .. the cobra is sick fast and has no lag issues at all ... it just has a problem blowing the tires off .. even at 70 mph ..
I'm trying to stick closer to the 600-700 rwhp mark ..
