You can use 2nd gear from a dead stop, the RPM's climb quicker, and they maximize your existing horsepower. Throw you back in your seat.

But there is more shifting and you will use 5th gear on the highway. I have 4.10s and will never go back. Love em.

3.73s are use the tourque curve and RPMS better in a 4.6. If you running the 1/8 mile then OK. But other then that 3.73s, A high reving GM like 8500 to 9500 is a goos motor to use 4.10s with just me 2 cents

There is no comparison between the feeling of 4.10s and stock gears. You will wish you had made gears your first mod. It's crazy how much harder it pulls in every gear.

wrong. use 3.73s if you got a 5.0. no less than 4.10s for a 4.6.

how much higher do 4.10s raise your rpms? I don't want to wind out my engine. And whats the top speed with 4.10s on a 4.6l

your not winding out yor engine trust me. If anything you'll just get a little more wheelspin. The pedal will become a little more sensitive.

And top speed is still somewhere you'll never reach in a stock GT on public roads...So it's not all that important, but its probably around 155-165mph asuming your not going over 6000 rpms.

no need to worry about the rpms, trust me on that one. If you try to get a 12 sec pass everytime you take off from a light, then I would worry about it.
