97 gt engine fitment

Alright so i am parting out a 1997 gt and this guy has a 2000 gt and he was wondering if the 97 gt engine would fit. Would he need to adjust anything? O and he doesnt care about the power difference he just wants a new engine.

of course it will fit, its esentially the same engine - but why the he11 would he ever do that - the 96-98 engines are complete garbage....his 2000 has about 50 more horse than the 97.

well see if his heads are bad and if not just switch em onto that 97 engine..but yeah everything just swaps right over from his engine to that 97..
