V6 Compared To V8 (Not Referring To Power)
Ok. So I have a very low budget for a car. I want something good looking that I can have fun with. So here's my question
whats the difference between a v6 and a v8? Not like the engine and tranny, but the chassi? I was plannin on looking for a v6 with no tranny/motor, or like a blown motor, that I could get runnin again myself, but put in a v8. So what are the differences between them? Thanks

Depends on the year. Some will have a different transmission if it's a manual. most will have a different sized ring gear in the differential, some will have different sized brakes, some will have a different diameter rear sway bar, some will have no front sway bar while the 8 will......to mention a few things.

if you're just looking for a v6 rolling chassis, the differences will be the suspension and brakes, the wheel sizes, probably no fog lights on the 6, depending on the year, the hood might be different a 7.5" rear end as opposed to an 8.8" rear end...

Well duh. But Like I said, im not referring to the engines. I'd like to do a swap. Tranny and motor. So, the chassi though, is not much different? In other words its doable, with some other parts on the side right?

by the time you turned a v6 into a gt, you might as well just buy a GT..
brakes, rear end, computer, wiring, transmission and engine, hood, fog lights, interior (no leather seats) fuel pump, and theres probably more to add to it..
