Well..... i had the same set-up. The flows i didnt even notice were on my car when i had my cats... after the off road came.... i mean.... it was a lil loud. But nothing serious. I then put SLP LM1's and i can say... DONT do it. It sounds horrible and raspy ( IMO ) . But it will sound great with the off road. I have neighbors and i have cops who are under a program called R.A.C.E.... i dont reme, mber what it stands for... but they look for aftermarket stuff and noise. I never got pulled over. I got the SLP's and got pulled over and now run a MAC exhaust catback.... sounds great and louder than i thought but it sounds amazing and i get no trouble with it.

I have a BBK O/R X with my LT's and Magnapacks. They aren't loud at idle, but at around 2500 to 3000 rpm's they get a bit raspy. Then above 3000 they mellow back out a bit and are pretty loud.
I've heard some great things about the MAC catback, It's nice to hear that you are happy with them Casper.

Do you want it to be loud or no? If your looking for a good muscle car sounding set up get a bassani or SLP catted X pipe. Both have a design that lets you remove the cats in under a half hour. You can ride catless all year until inspection. For exhaust go with the magnapack. Nothing sound like it. Your car will literally growl! Some people like to compare them to the SLP but they sound sloppy. SLP sound great at idle, but when you hit the gas they sound crappy. listen to both here. If you are going for volume you might try a H pipe too. You lose a couple horses, but it will be louder.

I'd love to have more hp but i hear the x-pipes have a more raspy sound to them than the h-pipes and the raspy noise, sounds..ricerish.
anyone know a good h-pipe to get?

X pipes don't real sound raspy to me. They do sound 'more' raspy than a h pipes, but they don't sound bad IMO. If you are worried about sounding 'ricerish' get magnapacks. No ricer in the world sounds like that! Try a mac pro chamber.

I've got the flowmaster kit on my 01 GT, tacked to the stock H-Pipe with the AM TH 40 Series muffs'...Its only unbearably loud if Im full throttle at 3000 rpm and climbing...not easy to do that in a neighborhood with 25 mph speed limits. I hear you though, I live in a very private incorporated village on Long Island and I work for UPS...which means Im heading out at 3am or earlier every morning...which is why I havent gotten an X-Pipe yet, it WILL make that set up louder and deeper in tone, because there is less obstruction of the exhaust flow than with a stock H-Pipe. What I like about them though is the deeper growl, slightly better gas mileage and Ive been told its easier to exchange headers with an X-Pipe set up.

i have an offroad UPR x-pipe on my car with the stock catback with flows welded in. they were on the car when i bought it so i dunno the series. the off road x pipe i put definately made a difference. most people would say it was a drastic difference from stock. i prefer bassani for sound which is what i hope to get later this year....thought of slp but its a bit too raspy.

If you were considering SLP you might like magnapacks. check out the difference here.

i dont care for the magnaflow sound. when i do get a cat back its more than likely gonna be bassani. i may do another flowmaster catback setup with 2.5 pipe and 3 inch stainless tips.
