Flywheel Help

Im doing a 3650 to T45 swap in my '02 GT....

Im also upgrading my stock clutch to a stage 2 at the same time...

here is my dilemma. I'm ordering a new flywheel.... Which do I get?

Do I get a flywheel for a 2002 Romeo motor? Or do I get a pre 2001 flywheel for the windsor to complement the T45?

I didnt realize it made any difference, but my connection at my local Ford dealership told me there was

Thanks in advance!

the Romeo motors have a 6 bolt crank, so they need a 6 bolt flywheel. Windsors have an 8 bolt crank, so they need an 8 bolt flywheel. it's based on what crank you have in the engine...
since you have an '02, you have a Romeo motor and therefore, a 6 bolt crank
and why would you swap a 3650 for a T45?

Found a freshly rebuilt T45 for really cheap Its just gonna be in long enough for me to beef up the 3650.... its in desparate need of new synchros/shift fork

Save your money on both and just buy a T56 swap and call it a day.

oh, ok. so it's really just to keep the car on the road while the tranny gets beefed up?
you may have issues with the clutch, i'm not sure. some clutches like the Spec stage 1 is built for either the t45, 3650 or the T56, but the stage 2 only fits the 3650 and T56. i'm thinking that a stage 2 clutch for the 3650 won't work with the T45

yeah, what i mean is that they make 2 different clutches, one for the T5 and T45, and one for the 3650 and T56. sorry for not clarifying...

the 3650 uses a 11 in clutch and the t45 uses a 10.5 in clutch.the input shafts are the same(10 spline). use the clutch for a 3650,the t45 pressure plate won't bolt to the flywheel
