so what's the deal with these GTO's, i've heard people tell me that the auto's run low to mid 14's(manuals are low 13's)...any experience with them?

i know what manuals run...but some of my friends at the local F-Body club were telling me that they've seen some autos run low 14's

the auto's are high 13's, but it is all in driging skills too! i have seen a stock auto go 13.7-8 consistently.

14.2 isnt bad, it just below par. i ran 13.2 in my car off the bottle, my wife went 15.6
thats bad. she did get better after i showed her the little tricks. i think she ended up at like 13.7 at the end of the day.

15.6 to 13.7 is a crazy good improvement.. that just goes to show that just cause you're up against a c6 z06 or something, you aren't guaranteed a loss.. like i said.. its all in the driging skills (

Oh... damn it!! I just realized you were talking about me... I'm watching my niece right now and I leave her alone in front of the computer for 2 freakin' minutes to get a glass of water and she manages to delete my post. How the hell did she figure that out any ways??? She's 3 1/2

![]() Being as young as I am, my parents think I'm pretty computer savy... just wait 'till I tell them that their 3 1/2 year old granddaughter already knows how to do (and only took her less then 2 min to learn) what took me almost a month to figure out!

We have several that run at the 1/4 strip here and they run anywhere between 12.5 to 13.1 depending on mods. Most have exhaust and a tune thats about it.

my good friend ruben has a 06 GTO and we're always racing. even though ive only lost to him one time. from a roll, its a really good race. pretty close. he always gets about a full car length jump on me from the third honk and then i slowly, but steadily pull even with him and keep pulling away after that. from a dig, i usually have a car length and a half on him by the top of third gear. both of us run on street tires. those cars are damn quick for their weight.
