Ford Mirrors?

So instead of buying from a ford dealership is there anywhere to get ford replacement side mirrors? someones door flew open in the wind and broke my moms mirror so they called ford it and it was gunna be like $500 for the mirror and install which is bullshit, so i said id take care of it. i saw some on 50resto and blue oval but i think they're both aftermarket.

Go to a junk yard, preferrably a u pull it place. If the color doesn't match don't worry. Most side mirrirs are black plastic, and if it needs pro painting then it shouldn't cost more than $20 or so. Install is pretty easy, connect the wires tighten the screws and pop in the trim pieces (covers).

none of them are painted, but our junkyards are...full of junk
i dont usually see any mustangs in them, its always tercel's or cavaliers.

check ebay, you can usually find used oem stuff for a good price

They are all over on ebay. Also look up MPS salvage online. They specialize in just salvage mustangs

I will give a little warning. If you just replace one, be carefull to get a good one. There are some cheap chineese made ones out there that fade really fast in the sun. You'll have 2 different colored mirrors in no time.... (unless you paint them of course).
