+1 on the NGK's, I gapped mine right at 0.052. Just changed them out two weeks ago and I like the NGK's.

they are supposed to have a "lifetime warranty" as well.... you wear them down, just take them back and exchange for new ones

the plugs are easy to change in your car the #8 is a bit of a pain, leave the fuel rail on and just use a universal on the hard ones. its a good idea to put a bit of never seze on them. i just change the plugs on my 97 ram you could almost get in the engine bay and sit down.lol. just do it man its not very hard.

I heard something about using a socket with rubber inside of it so you dont drop the plug.. I'm changing my plugs today, I'm getting NGK's from autozone, the platinum ones, I dont wanna have to gap them...

LOL, good Lord, you brought this thread back to life from 4 months ago? Anyway, yes you should use a spark plug socket or youll never get them out of the head. Be extremely careful when you torque them down on your 2000 because these windsor cars will shoot a plug in a heartbeat.

What should I torque them to? And I don't need to take off the fuel rail or anything else.... just the cops and under them the spark plugs? I heard some may be hard to get to, but I guess I'll find a way. l0l

Fuel rail stay. Take the intake tube off and the COP obviously and thats it. The back pass side ones are a little irritating, but no big deal. Hand snug them, then do an additional 1/2 turn.

I've heard people say to torque them? Is that necessary? I'm not worried about getting them out, I just dont wanna blow one out if I dont tighten it down enough, but I don't want to strip it by over tightening. I'm going to use never cease or whatever its called on the plug threads.. and that elec. stuff on the cops.
