Not out of the hole though, those little AWD cars are bad-ass to 30mph.

Sounds like this guy will launch at like 4k just to beat you. Hard to believe against a turbo car, but you're better going from a roll.

my buddy launches his sti off the rev limiter, its the only way for them not to bog, so if he knows his stuff and can drive itll be a tough race, but you should be able to edge him out on the upper end if you do your part

be careful with a factory turbo car that says he's stock. he can easily be pushing 40+ more whp without anyone being able to tell. that would put him in the low 13's high 12's as long as he can drive.

The OP said if he had full bolt ons. Don't make the mistake of thinking you can beat an STi with a moderately modded or lightly modded GT. It won't matter if you have an auto or manual.

Your talking apples to oranges....STi was not built to be a drag car...that car was built for rally/twisties and it will dominate you in those fields....if your talking total acceleration they can do some incredible numbers stock 0-60 is 5.3 in the dirt, think around 4.9 on dry pavement. Has a lateral skid pad of .93g's stock.
Now if your talking 1/4 mile, typically these cars stop around 11.5's with supporting mods...but again, they aren't built to drag |

Motortrend rated the 2005 STi at a 13.5 1/4 mile...so with a bad driver your looking at around a 14 second...gotta remember wheel spin doesnt apply to them.
