MAC H Pipe Install

i installed my H pipe today and man it fit horrible. the left peice that connects to the manifold would not seal up creating an exhaust leak so we had to widen the flange holes to go over the stock studs. also the front O2 sensor wires will not reach. i thought i wouldn't need extensions but i guess i do. i got the BBK MILs for the rear ones but the fronts wont reach. anybody else had issues like this?

This is on a 03 GT with a Borla standard catback.

Sounds like a PITA. You don't need MILs for the front O2 sensors though.

yeah i put them on the rear ones. just need extensions for the front ones. from what i read i didn't need them. Yeah i figured a little better fitment quality for a bolt on system from MAC.

on stock manifolds you will need the little metal slip in flange they send with the kit to make it seal properly. the o2 sensors will not reach any aftermarket mid pipe that i know of when they are still held up by the factory clips. just pull the little clips and the sensors will reach just fine. me and a friend just installed a mac x-pipe and had the same issues with the leak.

i went ahead and ordered the extensions. i got the H pipe used off of here so it didn't come with that flange to make it fit. oh well its on there and sounds really good. alot louder then it used to be lol
