Oil Problem?

When i start my car my oil gauge reads no pressure until i give it gas up to about 1800rpm it raises up to normal than drops back down and will do this until the car is warmed up. im thinking its just a mess up somwhere with the gauge and its not my new roush guages becuase it did it with the stock gauges. its a sudden drop in pressure. oil level is fine. any ideas?

Can be the oil pressure sensor, the sender unit... or maybe your engine's about to blow up... lol I'd go with the first two though...

hook up a mechanical guage then you'll know for sure, you can get one cheap ($20) at any part store. but if you have no oil pressure i think it would be knocking on start up. good luck

thats what i was thinking, and for the pressure to go up than drop all the way down quickly sounds like a sensor problem. thanks guys
