Sniper is a great tuner.
I wouldn't buy it from rpm outlet though.
they have a bad rep.

I wanted to get that one too but I was scared that you cant do as much as the SCT Pro Racer. Anyone try both of these and is the SCT worth the money or is the Sniper a better choice?

they are both good choices.

it depends on who tunes your car.. not the devise.

you say that it depends on who tunes it. why cant you do it your self? isnt this the whole reason for buying you own tuner? in that case why not just not buy a tuner and just let the dyno shop do it for ya?

Sniper is a really good tuner. Plus you can get 2 cars tuned with it.

with Sniper you do tune it yourself , dyno tuning is really only needed on highly modified / supercharged or turboed cars , and RPM outlet does not have the best rep for customer service

They have HORRIBLE customer service. All I have heard is horror stories of ppl ordering shit and not getting it, or having to return something, and not being able to contact anyone. Steer clear of them.

You can tune your car yourself with either of the above mentioned tuners. You dont even need a dyno to do it. Both the SCT and Sniper have dattalogging capabilities and thats all you really need. As far as doing it yourself, it will take you time to get used to the software and if you dont know to much about tunning than it could be a very painstaking ordeal. If your willing to learn than you cant beat it. Any time you add to your combo you can simply retune it yourself.

Talk to Don at LaSota Racing or Bob at Kurgan Motor Sports High Performance Mustang Tuning probably two of the best mustang tuners in the country. They will be able to set you up.

you can install it yourself but you still need somebody to right the tune and download in to the hand held. you can do this by e-mail with a tuner. tell him your mods. you a download into car datalog it and send it back to him. he will twick it and also check the wideband reading and you should be good

If you plan on self tuning than there is no need to email with either don or bob in fact sniper and SCT have there own tuning forums Sniper Tuning Forums - Index page and SCT Flash - Powered by vBulletin

There are also a host of other mustang tuning forums to help if you decide to go the self tuning method. It all depends on how involved you want to get. IMO self tuning is the way to go, but thats me. In fact i am looking into ditching my SCT chip for a standalone like AEM when my new combo is done.

the trick to dealing with rpm outlet is not dealing with them at all...

The parts are a little cheaper for a reason...
