Our Cars Have A Little More Power To Weight Than We Give Em Credit For
Today, it was raining heavily and i was out doing errands so i decided to take my car to a old out of buisness Cub Foods Parking lot (its HUGE!!)
I was cruzin in 4th at about 3000rpms then i punched it and turned right about 50%, it did almost a complete 360 so fast it felt like my face was gonna rip off lol. There were no poles or any potholes in the lot, just wet slippery asphault. I couldnt get it to spin in 5th at all, but it would spin in 4th. For like 10min I, mastered the art of trying to keep my car straight flooring it 1st-3rd gear while the tires were spinning... I took a 3week long road course racing class for the bmw 325I amature series last summer and passed with flying colors (now a liscensed road circuit amature). I have yet to enter an actual race, but in the summer for a 2 week period, the retired Formula 1 circuit at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (500 Track) is open to liscensed amatures/pros. Everyday, my dad and i took his kenny brown 1999 mustang gt out there. So i know perfectly how to handle a car in almost every situation in the dry, but in the wet its a different story... its funner trying to master it. all it is is counter steering and applying the exact amount of throttle, no brakes... brakes mess things up. I got it mastered while in a gear (managing to keep the nose of the car straight), but when you shift gears at 5600rpm+, its impossible to keep the car straight, it always fishtails one way, o well practice makes perfect. I highly suggest some of you guys get to a deserted parking lot (make sure there are no cops around to see you) and learn your car... it could save your life someday.

You have to research... I took the class in Sonoma, CA at Infieon Raceway. Be prepared to spend A LOT though.

The certain class they offer is 5 days, 6 hrs a day, the 1st 2 days are in a class room learning and taking notes... and the last 3 are actual driving. The last day is the test... it's by no means easy lol... you have to beat the clock and not make any errors what so ever. All in all it was worth it, but i dont know if i'd spend that money again
