Royal Purple

So does this stuff make that much difference? I want to put it in my stang, but a little pricey. I do work at a place where I can get a transmission flush for nothing. Should I do that then replace fluid with Royal Purple? And is it the max atf that I need? My car is a 2000 gt automatic.

I have no idea if it is true so I would appreciate a yea or nea, but I read on another forum that pure synthetic transmission fluid like Royal Purple would actually hurt your transmission. They said it causes a deterioration of the synchronizers and that Ford and other transmission builders were recommending a non-synthetic fluid.

no.

lol

the only think I can think of is doing a swap to full synthetic when you have high miles.

it could cause things to leak

Do I need to get a flush? I've heard that when you just drain fluid, you don't get the fluid out of the torque converter. I would think it would be bad to leave a little of my stock fluid in there and mix it with royal purple. Does anyone know how many quarts I need, since mine's an automatic?

Is a flush harmful at all?

I highly doubt that removing old worn out trans fluid is considered harmful. Especially when you'll be putting in oil that'll keep it running smooth and maybe cooler
