ok me my buddy jesse are fighting about powershifting how do u do it

Don't lift when you shift. In other words, do not let off the gas when you engage the clutch to shift.

And preload the shifter, so that it basically slams right into the next gear.

Alright this is how I do it lol

First you want to move the seat closer so you can easily stomp the clutch to the floor
Dont do it from 1st to 2nd high in rpms or you will go sideways as the tires break loose

After you hit 2nd gear slam the gas to the flor and hold it there until about 4500 rpms then have your hand on the shifter already holding it towards third slam your foot down on the clutch and throw it to third as fast as possible once you know you have it in third let the clutch out as fast as possible. If its done right you shouldnt rev over 5500 rpms and it should make it into third gear LOL. Mine lets out a nice chirp of the tires when I do it right

then do the same from 3rd to 4th. But dont make this a habbit like do it all the time because it will wear out your trans pretty quick.

And it makes it much easyier if you have some kind of short throw shifter I wouldnt even do it if I didnt have a short throw with shift stops. I have a Hurst short throw

Yeah but it slows you do in a straight line and lossing controll + highway races = contact with center median

Yeah. whenever i shift into 3rd really really fast, not powershifting, but normal shifting, really fast, i hear a squeeking sound... like from my clutch of tranny. I know for sure its not good, what the hell is that? The tranny only has 16k on her... so i know its something to do with my shifting... but its like a loud squeek when i let the clutch up really fast.... and its not the tires b4 anyone says it

Pretty much don't let off the gas and shift faster than you can blink. If you hit red line for being slow shifting, then you'll cut the fuel and loose power.

yeah thats how it usually happens. i remember one day i was turning left from a 4 way stop on base and i hit 2nd and gased it real quick and got sideways. about a minute later one of the base cops came up on me and pulled me over. he saw me get sideways. he threatened to give me a citation for "breaking traction" but someone called him on his radio and he let me go. that was luck right there lol. it was accidental anyways.
