Stainless Works Full Exhaust Prototype!

I should be getting my 02 GT back from stainless works in a day or two. They have had it for 3 weeks fabing up their first prototype exhaust for the 99-04 Mustangs.

Stainless Works is in the process of developing 1 5/8” and 1 ¾” headers, and will be offering both with an x pipe, with or w/o cats. The exhaust combo they can include (at additional cost) will be a 2 ½” true dual setup with either s tube (straight through) or baffled turbo mufflers.
www.stainlessworks.net

I will post pics and video once I get it. PM me for additional info.

FYI - They are going to offer a special intro price for one month only. Mods, please get in contact with me so I can arange the group purchase/advertising info properly without violating any forum rules!!

Just talked to the guys over there. The car was base lined at 255 rwhp and 279 torque. Now, post exhaust it pulled 282 rwhp and 314 torque!!!

That is awesome!!!
That is a 27 hp pick up and 35 torque!!!
Can't wait to pick it up tonight!!!

This is typical of any full exhaust setup, in fact I've seen more than that from the el cheapo Mac Longtubes and Prochamber, not including the cat-back.

yeah ove seen the same kind of pickups from other systems also. looks to me this stainless works stuff is pretty high quality. as for the gains its very typical but it looks like it would probably outlast any of the mac stuff. mac makes ok products but the quality control isnt up to par!

Mac's coatings suck, mine started showing rust spots after just a few weeks actually. But the performance is good, heh.

I really don't know what my hp gain was with my exhaust I think the thing that made the most noticable power was the x-pipe, then maybe the headers.

It pulls like a raped ape! And sounds awesome. I will try to take some pics tomorrow and post them up. All the tubing is 304 stainless steel and guaranteed. Not worried in the slightest. No highway drown and sounds like a beast at WOT yet quiet at idle and cruise. I am very happy and can't get the SEG off of my face.

As for the macs....headers are not a job I care to do every couple of years and because I like to show my car I wanted something that looked nice under the hood.

Just saw a piece on Stainless Works on Trucks! on the Speed Channel. Custom headers/sidepipes and intake down tubes on a vintage truck. They looked awesome.

Finally got some video. Actually the second run is me versus the wife in the Stang. The stangs exhaust overpowers the GTO's. (time for a catback on the GTO now!! LOL)

To all,
Would getting a full exhaust setup like this really help my 02 GT? I just bought a stock Mustang and am looking foir the best inexpensive ways to increase power. Thanks.

Yes, it would definitely help your stang out. First, your stock exhaust is restrictive and doesn't allow your car to breathe right. Your car needs to breathe in order to work as do you. Second, aftermarket exhaust will allow your car to breathe with a whole lot less restriction therefore creating more power and torque. So in conclusion, yeah it would help out!

Good luck in modding your stang!
