hey man i feel your pain i have a bullitt and i have bbk ceramic shorties and the catted x pipe.
i used a 3/8 ratcheting wrench, that seem to help me alot and of course my car is not a daily driver, that helped alot also!!!
i was about to buy the locking bolts for the headers but i decided not to.
i just ran my car for about an hour let it cool down and retightned the bolts.
so far i have not had any problems.

Yes you answered your own question. The BBK's came with a "dent" in them, thats to clear the steering. The biggest pain in the arse was bolting them bolts! Use stage 8 locking bolts and you never have to touch that effin thing again!, Also ths steering column gave me some problems and the damn dip stick! I have so many bends in the damn thing....

Them bolts were a huge pain. Took longer to put the bolts in...than it took to drop the k-member. The whole project is not as hard as seems....just a little time comsuming.

yea it wasnt a very hard install just very time consuming, and frustration, im glad i bought the stage8 locking bolts so i wont have to F with it anymore. and yea i looked forward to the install to so i could accomplish it on my own, but was a huge PITA. Ill def. put a washer on the driver side, i could prob fit a piece of paper between the shaft and header thats about it.

Yea it is, im going to put 6 washers on driver side engine mount bolts (inbetween mount and block) 2 for each bolt, so the headers will clear the driveshaft without any problems, is anything wrong with doing that?
